X-Ray Sorting System XSS

Mixed metals, ores, coals, plastics, wood, refuse incineration cinder, metal slags.

The XSS X-ray sorting system greatly increases the range of possibilities for sorting material mixtures. It can “see” through the materials, recognizing different material densities, components containing halogens, and organic components. Composite materials and internal joins can also be recognised. This enables light metals to be sorted from heavy metals, for instance, or PVC from plastics, scrap wood from stone, aluminium castings from wrought alloys, and ore-bearing mineral blocks from country rock.

The XSS uses a “Dual Energy” system to compensate for the additive effects of material thickness and material density.
