The STEINERT high gradient magnetic separator (HGS) is deployed in plants in the salt processing sector, the building materials industry and in the industrial minerals segment. And for good reason, since the HGS is ideal for sorting free-flowing bulk materials in the fine-grained particle range from 200μm up to several millimetres.

The HGS consists of a short conveyor belt equipped with a permanent magnet disk system in its head drum. Powerful neodymium iron boron magnets allow it to separate even weak magnetic mineral components. The special design with magnet and steel disks arranged in an alternating pattern can generate far-reaching magnetic fields and enables an adjustment of the desired field gradients to the respective application. Other specific features, such as quick clamp devices, precise belt guiding and field strengths greater than 22,000 gauss, attest to the high quality and performance standards we set for our sorting systems
